A Select Flying Club · Michigan
A private membership of twenty-two pilots. Two meticulously maintained aircraft. A shared belief that flying should be a pleasure, never a burden.
Request Consideration →Membership is by application and reference. We are not building a rental operation — we are assembling a community of pilots who share our standards, our respect for the aircraft, and our love of the discipline.
Both airplanes are equipped with modern glass panels, refreshed interiors, and held to a standard you would expect from a private aircraft you own yourself — because, in every meaningful sense, you do.
Insurance, inspections, mechanic relationships, hangar logistics, reserves for the next overhaul — none of these belong to you. Members fly. Everything else is handled with discretion and care.
Member-organized flyouts, formal dinners at the hangar, mentorship for ratings, group expeditions across the Great Lakes. The aviation culture that has quietly disappeared from most fields — preserved here.
The finest moments in aviation are not solitary — they are shared with pilots who understand what brought you to the field in the first place.— The founding ethos
A weekend at Mackinac. A long journey across the Great Lakes. Four passengers and their belongings, unhurried. Not available at any rental counter in the region — this is a club aircraft in every sense of the term.
For the morning flight before the weather rolls in. For introducing a son or daughter to aviation. For the Saturday breakfast across the lake. The most trusted airframe in general aviation, refined and modernized.
Two aircraft. Twenty-two members. Establish the standard for everything that follows. Build the culture before we build anything else.
The Cessna 182 joins the fleet by member vote, expanding the range of what's possible while maintaining the quality of what already exists.
A dedicated hangar at 8D4 with a member lounge above, overlooking the field. A place to gather, plan, and finish the day after the flying is done.

Membership is offered selectively. The questions that follow help us understand who you are as a pilot — and help us shape a club worthy of you.
All responses are read personally. A response does not commit you to anything.
A note on the figures presented: The structure and pricing shown here are working assumptions. Final details — dues, hourly rates, initiation — will be determined after consultation with prospective founding members. Please answer candidly. Your input shapes what we become.
Your response has been received and will be read personally. If you indicated interest in Founding Membership, you may expect to hear from us within the week.
